Do I need to know any code or technical stuff?
No. You fill in a form (business name, phone, etc.), pick a design, and type the wording you want. Everything else — the web address, the security padlock, getting found on Google, the email at your business address — is set up for you behind the scenes.
Can I change the wording six months from now?
Yes — sign back in any time. Every section opens its own side panel of inputs (headline, paragraphs, button labels, hours, contact info). Type, save, done. No re-deploy, no developer ticket.
What if I want a design that's not in the 9?
Three options. (1)
Point us at a site you like — fill out the
custom template request form, send us the URL of any tax-pro / accounting site you wish you had, and for $200 we'll turn it into a RunCabin template you can edit. (2) Small tweaks (wording, palette, layout) — Ryan does customisation at a flat hourly rate, billed only when you ask. (3) Fully custom — you (or any designer you hire) can edit the template HTML directly. It's yours.
What happens if I cancel? Do I lose my website?
No. Your site is yours. Cancel and we hand you the full source code in your own GitHub repo — drop it on any host that runs static sites, or hire someone to keep maintaining it. We don't hold your site hostage.
Will it look good on a phone?
Yes. Phone is the priority — most of your clients land on your site from their phone first (a Google search, a text from a friend, your business card). The templates are designed for that, not just shrunk down from a desktop layout.
Do you handle bilingual sites?
One of the 9 designs ("Bilingual Storefront") is built for English/Spanish neighbourhood tax-prep offices. Every Spanish phrase is editable separately from the English — Servicios/Services, Bienvenidos, Llámenos, all of it. If you need other language pairs, ask.
How long until my site is live?
Same day. After you fill in step 1 (business info + domain) and pay the $499 setup, the site provisions in a few minutes — domain registered, SSL, email forwarding, everything wired up. You're typing into the editor before the next tax return hits your desk.
Why does it cost less than a freelancer?
Because the design and infrastructure are already done. A freelancer building you a custom site charges $2,500-$5,000 because they're starting from scratch every time. RunCabin is the same engineering, divided across every customer. You save the design hours; we keep the lights on.
